Q: Can I return my contact lens purchase?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order, we are happy to work with you to make it right. Our products are fully guaranteed against manufacturer defects and will be replaced completely free of charge.

We will replace or refund unopened, unmarked, unexpired boxes of contact lenses purchased on this site within 90 days of purchase, even if your prescription changes. All returns for online orders are to be done by mail. Online order returns will not be accepted at Target stores or the Target Optical Department. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Simply contact us at 1-877-TGT-VISN (848-8476) and have the following information ready:

1. Order number
2. Number of boxes being returned
3. Reason for the return
4. Credit card used on your original order

We will provide you easy instructions on how to return your order. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail with all the details. Credit card adjustments will be made when the return is received in our warehouse. We recommend that you use a trackable method to return lenses (e.g. UPS).

Luxottica takes security very seriously, and uses secure transaction and encryption technology for every order. Security is activated when you log in. (A lock, key or https:// indicates you are on a secure site). For more information, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
Q: Will I receive e-mails from Target Optical?

We do not sell or trade information to third party advertisers. You will receive e-mail about contact lens orders placed on this site, as well as reminders when it’s time for your annual eye exam or a contact lens refill. If you wish to opt-out of contact lens reminder e-mails, please go to “My Account” to adjust your Account Settings.
Q: Where will my lenses be shipped from?

Your contact lenses are carefully packed and shipped directly to your door from our contact lens distribution centers in Florida, Massachusetts or California.
Q: Do I pay for sales tax?

No. Consumer contact lens sales are not taxable online.

Q: If my order is cancelled, how long are my credit/debit card funds held?

In the unlikely event your order is cancelled, the amount of time that your funds are held will vary between financial institutions. Typically, your credit is processed by your bank within 5 - 9 days. If you have any questions, please contact your financial institution.
Q: Who do I call if I have questions about my order?

Please call 1-877-TGT-VISN (848-8476) or e-mail help@targetoptical.com for questions regarding orders, shipping or billing. If you have questions related to your eye health or contact lenses comfort or fit, please call your eye care doctor directly.
Q: Can my eye care doctor decline my request for replacement contact lenses?

There are some circumstances when your eye care doctor may decline or alter your contact lens order request. For example:

If your contact lens prescription has expired, the doctor will decline your request for lenses. Please schedule an eye exam appointment to obtain a new prescription.

If you are requesting a type or brand of lens that was not originally prescribed for you, the doctor will decline to release the prescription.

If you are requesting an excessive amount of lenses that will likely last you an extended period of time past your prescription expiration date, your doctor may decline to release the prescription.

Some states do not require an eye care doctor to release a patient’s prescription to a third party, even with the patient’s permission. If a doctor in one of these states does not wish to participate in the program, it is possible that he/she may decline the order.

You will be notified if any of the above circumstances occur with your order.
Q: How do I get insurance reimbursement for my contact lens purchase?

Although you cannot apply any insurance benefits directly to your order on this site, your insurance company will reimburse you for the purchase, provided you have an applicable out-of-network benefit in your plan. Simply purchase your contacts through target.com/optical and submit the itemized invoice we send you to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Q: How do I sign in if I don’t remember my sign in or password?

Password: If you don’t remember your password, go to target.com/optical and click on “Contact Lens Sign In”. Click “Forgot Password.” On the next page, enter your e-mail address and click “Send Password.” Instructions to reset your password will be sent to the e-mail address on file for your account. User Name: Please call 1-877-TGT-VISN (848-8476) or e-mail help@targetoptical.com for assistance in getting your user name. Reminder: The e-mail address on file for your account is your user name.
Q: How do I change the e-mail or password on my account?

Go to target.com/optical and click "Contact Lens Sign In" at the top of the page. Sign in to your account using your current e-mail address and password. Once you are on the My Account page, click on “Login Settings.” Revise your e-mail address and password as needed and click “Save.”
Q: How do I order if I don’t have a copy of my prescription?

Your prescription information and brand name can be located on your contact lens boxes. Contact lens prescriptions may vary based on the types of lenses you wear (bifocal, disposable, etc).
Q: Can I order by phone instead of online? 

Yes, target.com/optical would be happy to take your order by phone. Simply call 1-877-TGT-VISN (848-8476) to place your order.

*Eye exams available by Independent Doctors of Optometry next to Target Optical in most states. In California, Target Optical does not provide eye exams
or employ Doctors of Optometry. Eye exams available from self-employed doctors who lease space inside of Target.
